Who I Am
I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice with over a decade of experience supporting adults and adolescents through a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful therapeutic change begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms, recognising the complexity of their experiences, and creating a space in which healing and growth can take place.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Honours from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the university’s Faculty of Medical Sciences. I have also completed specialised postgraduate training in the identification, understanding, and treatment of trauma, further informing my approach to working with individuals navigating difficult or distressing experiences.
I am a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Psychologists (TTAP) and the France-based Eutelmed e-consultation network of healthcare professionals. I work with clients locally, regionally, and internationally, supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
My clinical work includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside the development and delivery of mental health workshops. I work with a broad range of psychological difficulties and mental health concerns, tailoring my approach to the individual needs, circumstances, and goals of each client.
Beyond evidence-based psychological practice, my therapeutic philosophy draws on psychological and philosophical perspectives to support a more holistic understanding of the human experience. I recognise that our struggles are shaped not only by our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, but also by our relationships, values, lived experiences, and the meaning we make of our lives.
I aim to provide thoughtful, compassionate, and high-quality care that empowers individuals to better understand themselves, navigate life’s complexities, develop greater emotional flexibility, and cultivate meaningful, lasting change. Wherever you find yourself in your journey, therapy can offer an opportunity to move towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
